Outliving the initial novelty of his “show”, over the last five years Matisyahu has introduced an entirely new audience to both reggae/dancehall and the teachings of Judaism. All the success, two million records sold and counting, can be traced back to one glorious evening: February 19, 2005. That night at one of Austin’s most famous venues, Matisyahu recorded Live at Stubb’s, and the track that propelled the artist into popular consciousness, “King Without A Crown.” As a thank you to the Austin faithful, he returned to the venue August 18, 2010 for a not-so-secretive live recording.

Live at Stubb’s Vol. II will be available February 1st on CD, vinyl, and as a digital download. To better exemplify the live experience, Vol. II will also be released as a DVD with documentary footage, plus a Deluxe Edition ($35) and Super Deluxe Edition ($75). And if you’re one of the first 50 people to pre-order the Super Deluxe Edition, Matisyahu will thank you himself by autographing the booklet.
