Your new hotbed for summer music festivals? Try Omaha. The Nebraska city already serves as host to the indie-friendly
MAHA Musc Festival and now comes word of another new multi-day extravaganza — the
Red Sky Music Festival. Set to take place from July 19-24 at TD Ameritrade Park and its surrounding parking lots, the six-day festival will feature over 50 bands playing across three stages, reports
Omaha.com. According to Roger Dixon, one of the festival’s promoters, Red Sky will follow a similar format as the Milwaukee’s annual Summerfest, with smaller acts performing on the two stages in the parking lot throughout the day followed by an evening concert inside the ballpark featuring national acts.
A full lineup won’t be unveiled until mid-February, but Live Nation will aid in booking the talent. Attendance for the festival will be capped at 20,000 per day. Ticketing information is still forthcoming.
