So, the only question after last week’s lineup is this: could Jack White get any cooler? I mean, there has to be some ceiling on the amount of cool one human being can possess, but he just keeps impressing with no signs of slowing down. Here, look. Other highlights, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti throwing down hard on J Fal, My Chemical Romance performing their newest ballad “Sing” on Conan, and pretty awesome performances by The Dismemberment Plan and The Decemberists.

Which pretty much brings us up to date. Which leaves us with but one task; the week ahead. Lot of re-runs, and not just coming from Carson Daly’s perpetual re-run corner. Jimmy Fallon and David Letterman have both taken the week off. The bright side? The new performers are something to look forward to. As we’ve come to see, Iron & Wine and Conan have been in cahoots the past week,as the band’s been streaming its entire album on Conan’s official website, and he’s gonna put the cherry on top of that lovely sundae with a performance Monday night. White Lies, who recently released their latest and are sure to dazzle, will be hitting Leno on Tuesday night. Also, Cold War Kids (if you haven’t hopped off that wagon yet), The Ghost of A Saber Tooth Tiger, Amos Lee, and Wanda Jackson (sans Jack White) will also be performing. Not a whole lot, but I’ll always take quality over quantity!
