The whirlwind of unexpected Arctic Monkeys news continues today as the band has treated us to details of a three-week North American tour. Set to launch May 17th in Washington, DC, the trek will then see Alex Turner and Co. travel up and down the east coast before turning west for dates in Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Denver. The band will conclude their travels with dates in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, after which they’ll spend most of the summer playing music festivals across Europe.
Pre-sale tickets will be available Wednesday, March 9th, with a public onsale to follow Friday, March 11th and Saturday, March 12th. Visit the band’s website for exact onsale dates and pre-sale codes.
News of the tour follows the band’s surprising reveal of a brand new track entitled “Brick By Brick” last Friday. There’s still no ETA for the band’s fourth LP, which is being produced by Simian Mobile Disco’s James Ford.
