In a world rife with torrent rats and the shortest attention spans in human history, bands have to tour relentlessly to keep their sound fresh in listeners’ ears and their names relevant in their heads. Being on the road is also the most surefire way for artists to keep money in their wallets too. Not ones to rest, Brooklyn-based psych-pop outfit Crystal Stilts have announced that they’ll continue to pound the pavement after releasing their sophomore album – In Love With Oblivion – on April 12th via Slumberland Records.

The band is currently wrapping up a European tour and will return stateside on April 15th when they hit the stage at the North Star Bar on Philadelphia. The month-long tour then takes the five-piece to New York where they’ll play a pair of shows, including a home-burb date at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, where they open for Australian Psych-Rockers, Spectrum. Crystal Stilts will close out the month with stops in Raleigh, NC, Birmingham, AL, and New Orleans, LA, and three shows in Texas, including an April 29th appearance at Austin’s Psych Fest 4.

The month of May finds frontman Brad Hargett & co in California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, and the Midwest. The band will even run for the border to play a show at Toronto’s Sneaky Dee’s before they catch a breath in advance of a June 2nd show in The Netherlands.
