Mark Oliver Everett doesn’t get enough credit. In the last 22 months, the musician better known as Eels has released a trilogy, looped the world, and been mistaken for a terrorist, all while growing a mighty beard. Showing no sings of slowing down, Everett has mapped out another worldwide road trip, one which features dates in China, Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America.
Following a one-off in Santa Ana, CA on June 1st, Everett will play two dates in China before making his way to Europe and the United Kindom in mid-June. A healthy batch of dates and festival appearances follow — Glastonbury included — with Everett then crossing the Atlantic for a month-long trek beginning July 20th in Austin. The final leg also features an appearance at the Montreal-based Osheaga Music Festival, as well as two nights in Brooklyn. (There’s also no Chicago date yet a convenient gap during Lollapalooza, but we’ll let you make the call…) The tour will then come out west, concluding August 12th in Los Angeles.
Along with the tour, Everett is offering a free EP featuring three tracks — one from each of the Eels’ album trilogy: Hombre Lobo, End Times, and Tomorrow Morning. Download the effort for the price of an email address in the widget below.
