Our coffers are low this time of year. Uncle Sam probably yoinked a fair amount of coin from you, and the lingering winter is, at least for this writer, really increasing the frequency delivered thai food in lieu of crossing the threshold to the outside and being punched in the face by the dumb-ass cold. But with Record Store Day just around the corner, it’s time to flip every couch cushion turn out every jean pocket to scrounge up enough dough to score that limited edition vinyl that’s sending you those come hither looks.
Preceding the frenzy of April 16th, The Flaming Lips and Neon Indian have released limited quantities of their psyched-out collaborative EP to eight different record stores scattered throughout the country. Limited to 1,000 copies, the 12″ single features four tracks and is printed on special colored vinyl, with Wayne Coyne picking the colors and no two copies looking exactly the same.
No word on whether there are copies still available, but per psychexfutureheart, you can check out the locations, twitter feeds, and websites below. Happy hunting!
