If you’ve been following the career arc of San Francisco folk band Vetiver over the last few years, you’ll see the group released an album in both 2008 (the CoS Top Star-earned Thing of the Past) and 2009 (Tight Nit). While 2010 proved an album-less year, Vetiver is quick to return in 2011 with album number five, The Errant Charm, set to be released on June 14th (via Sub Pop) According to a press release, Vetiver bandleader Andy Cabic made the album for strolling, something he did a lot of during the album’s recording in San Francisco’s Richmond District. And speaking of traveling, the band will be playing a number shows before and after an appearance at next week’s South by Southwest. Find the album’s tracklist and confirmed tour dates below.
