Against Me!‘s latest album, 2010′s White Crosses, demonstrated the band had matured beyond their punk roots. However, this next bit of news probably isn’t going to help with the perception by some that Tom Gabel and co. have sold out: the Gainesville, FL-born punk band has covered the theme song for the CW’s One Tree Hill to air on the May 3rd episode, reports The 1st Five.
While the above news might drive some fans bonkers, the band also recently posted a video of them in the studio, which you can watch below. The songs being played will reportedly be a part of a two-song EP dropping sometime this year. Also, as previously reported, Against Me! will release a collection of unreleased demos on May 24th (via Fat Wreck Records). So it’s not all that bad.
