After playing their first show in 13 years back in January, Archers of Loaf have kept fans waiting for details on the rest of their 2011 plans. Now, months after the momentous occasion, the band has unveiled tour dates for this summer and fall.

The trek begins in the band’s home state of North Carolina on May 21st when they hit Asheville’s Grey Eagle. After that, it’s on to the west coast, where Archers of Loaf will play this year’s Sasquatch! Music Festival and two dates in Los Angeles before trekking south for shows in Austin and Dallas, Texas. Multi-night stops in New York, Chicago, and Atlanta follow, with the band then wrapping up their travels with shows in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, PA, and Chapel Hill, NC, before capping it all of with two nights in San Fransisco in early September. Plus, with plenty of gaps in between the band’s scheduled tour dates, one has to assume that more tour announcements will be made in the coming weeks.
