CSS signs with Cooperative Music, prep new LP

By Chris Coplan on April 13th, 2011 in News, Tour

While Sub Pop is one of the most important and well-established indie labels in the U.S., Brazilian rockers CSS have decided to take their chances with a larger fish when they drop their next album, La Liberación, on August 29th via the Cooperative Music network.

The multi-territory independent label includes a selection of independent music’s finest labels, including DFA Recordings, Bella Union, Mexican Summer/Kemado Records, Wichita Recordings, and more.

While there’s little info currently available regarding the LP, lead singer Lovefoxxx did have this to say in regards to the follow-up to 2008′s Donkey: “My mantra for this record is ‘ Rip Shit’ and that is what we do on La Liberación.” Funk yeah.

The band is currently on tour in North America until May 21st; check out the entire tour schedule below.
