Philly’s Disco Biscuits’ most recent effort, 2010′s Planet Anthem, amounted to a three-year labor of artistic devotion. Now on their forthcoming summer release, the livetronica outfit are getting back to their live roots. After finishing up the first leg of their 2010 fall tour, tDB stepped into Conshohocken, PA’s Studio 4 for a two-week period in November to record the tracks for their newest studio effort, Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens.

To capture the experience, tDB invited filmmaker Jesse R. Borrell of NoCoast.tv into the studio to film an all access documentary. The footage will be released as a four-part series, with Chapter 1: “An Old New Direction” already live at the band’s newly redesigned website. You can also check it out below.

Details are still limited on the release date and complete tracklist of Otherwise Law Abiding Citizens, but going by the video, expect more jams, live favorite “Portal To an Empty Head”, and a new tune, “We Like To Party”.
