Sometimes when a band comes along and makes a great album only to disappear for a while, fans are left wondering if they’ll ever come back. Perhaps they’ve lost the oh-so-important spark, or they just decided they hate each other and break up. But for the husband and wife duo of Handsome Furs, doing any of that would be slightly more difficult (since they’re, you know, married and all). So the pair just went off and kept being productive, which resulted in Sound Kapital, their third album, which drops on June 28th (via Sub Pop).

The band, comprised of Alexei Perry and Wolf Parade’s Dan Boeckner, last released Face Control in 2009. For their follow-up, the loving couple turned to ’80s electronic and industrial music from Eastern Europe for inspiration, writing the entire effort on the keyboard. The pair have made one of the album’s tracks, “What About Us”, available for download below (in exchange for an email address, of course.)
