The Black Lips’ latest album, Arabia Mountain, isn’t available for another two months (June 7th via Vice), but the band has already offered our second early taste in the form of the music video for “Modern Art”. Whereas “Go Out and Get It” was all about summertime binge drinking, “Modern Art” packs some weird-as-fuck imagery, ranging from trippy animations to Williamsburg, NY dive bars. Also of note is the appearance of a human skull, which may or may not be the same one the band used when recording the 16-track album with producers Mark Ronson and Lockett Pundt (of Deerhunter fame) at at Brooklyn, NY’s MetroSonic.
