MoogFest, the the annual music festival honoring the innovative spirit and vision of sonic pioneer of Dr. Robert Moog, returns to Asheville, NC on the weekend of Halloween (October 28-30). The initial lineup won’t be announced until Wednesday, June 1st at 10AM, but based on last year’s edition, which featured MGMT, Hot Chip, Big Boi, Panda Bear, and Thievery Corporation, among others, we’re pretty confident you won’t find better Halloween plans. Especially since you can’t pull off that Bieber costume — no matter how hard you try.

To further amp your anticipation, we have teamed up with MoogFest for a pre-lineup announcement ticket giveaway. We’re giving away to give away a pair of Moogfest 2011 GA Weekend Passes to one adventurous individual out there. In other words, what would you do for a pair of MoogFest tickets? Would you don a homemade Moog Little Phatty costume and dance on a busy street corner? Would you round up 30 of your closest friends and have a Moogfest all-night Dance-a-thon? WHAT WOULD YOU DO???

Here’s how to enter this contest:

1. Read this post in its ENTIRETY, including the IMPORTANT INFORMATION at the bottom

2. If you haven’t already, ‘Like’ Consequence of Sound on Facebook

2. Think of something awesome/creative/Moogy that you would do

3. Post your complete idea to the wall on MoogFest’s Facebook

4. Tell your friends to come to the Moogfest wall and LIKE your post/idea

That’s it. The person with the most “Likes” on their post by Monday, May 30 at 11:59PM will have the opportunity to carry out their idea in order to win the two weekend passes for Moogfest 2011 from Consequence of Sound.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

– If your idea is chosen, you will have until 11:59PM on Friday, June 3  to FILM yourself fulfilling your idea, post the video to YouTube and send the YouTube link to a designated email address (we will give you this information once chosen).

– Moogfest will retain the rights to your video, and may use it in whatever way we see fit for Moogfest 2011 promotional purposes.

– Regardless of the number of “Likes” on your idea, Moogfest and Consequence of Sound retain the right to decline your idea, and award the opportunity to another person.
