Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds return to the limelight today to give four of their most spectacular albums the reissue treatment: 1994’s Let Love In, 1996’s Murder Ballads, 1997’s The Boatman’s Call, and 2001’s No More Shall We Part. Each release will be shipped as a double-disc CD/DVD “Collectors Editions” containing the re-mastered stereo album, a new 5.1 surround mix, a specially commissioned short film made by UK artists Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, plus B-sides from the singles, videos, and exclusive sleeve notes.

Prolific barely bruises the definition of Nick Cave’s four-decade career as a frontman for goth rockers The Birthday Party, sexually-bearded side-project Grinderman, and, of course, The Bad Seeds. In addition to being a veritable music pioneer, Cave moonlights as a playwright, novelist, and actor — he lives in language.
