The band has also revealed complete details regarding their two-night stand at a Los Angeles cemetery. The Los Angeles Times reports that two-day passes for the shows – which will go down on June 14th and 15th – go on sale on Friday at 5 p.m. EST and are priced at $80. Single-day tickets for Saturday will also be available for $40. Visit Ticketfly for more info.
There will be no overnight camping, and attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, pillows, food, and drinks. There are a few concrete restrictions, so leave any pets, tents, coolers, and chairs of any kind at home as they will not be allowed onto the grounds of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. On-site parking is said to be limited, but public transit information is available here.
As previously reported, the first night will find Coyne & co. talking The Soft Bulletin in its entirety, and the band is set to rehash their take on Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon on night-two. Marnie Stern will open both nights.
The cemetery show details come on the heels of the band’s recent announcement of a pair of gigs that will find The Flaming Lips sharing a bill with Weezer and Yeasayer, and those who just can’t find themselves watching a show amongst gravestones can catch the band at one their upcoming dates, which are all listed below. Tickets for select dates are available via SeatGeek, and the aforementioned “artwork” for The Soft Bulletin live effort can be seen above.
