Less than a year after the dissolution of Isis, fans of the prog metal band will soon have some closure. They can take solace in a series of five belated parting gifts, namely digital albums of select live performances from Isis’ 13-year career. None of the performances documented on the new releases will be from last year’s farewell tour; the recordings span gigs from 2001 to 2006.

The first release, ISIS Live I 9.23.03, is a four-track, 40-minute recording from the band’s show at San Francisco’s fabled venue The Fillmore. That arrives May 31st, with ISIS Live II (from Stockholm, Sweden) coming out two weeks later. The trend continues, with a two-week wait before the band releases a 2004 performance in Albuquerque, titled ISIS Live III. The next inclusion, ISIS Live IV, is a mixed bag, however, featuring recordings from Los Angeles, Boston, New York, and Philadelphia, recorded between 2001 and 2005. To cap off the series, a 2006 performance in London at Koko’s arrives on July 26th.

Sensibly, you will be allowed to pre-order a bundle of all five digital releases and save money when buying all five. There are several packages available, featuring items such as the band’s vintage “Inaugural” t-shirt, “Inaugural” hoodie, and the 2006 DVD Clearing the Eye (you’ll have to choose between the shirt and the hoodie, however).
