Kanye West and Stevie Wonder will headline the 2011 edition of the Austin City Limits Music Festival, according to the ‘Summer Live’ edition of SPIN Magazine. An official announcement is not expected until Tuesday, but Austin 360′s Michael Corcoran also reported the news on his Twitter account late Saturday night.

West and Wonder will headline the Austin, TX-based festival alongside Arcade Fire and My Morning Jacket, both of which were confirmed late last week via the festival’s “lineup lottery.” Other confirmed acts include Fleet Foxes, Cee-Lo Green, Chromeo, Empire of the Sun, Delta Spirit, Smith Westerns, Hayes Carll, and J. Roddy Walston and the Business.

This year’s Austin City Limits takes place September 16-18 at Zilker Park. Three-day passes for the festival are sold out, but one-day passes will be available starting May 17th.

This is such a bad lineup, I’m sorry. Arcade Fire and Kanye do not need to headline every single festival this year, and MMJ is a joke. Such a sellout lineup, unbelievable that the festival would stoop like this. I had a ticket which I will now be selling. Here’s hoping to getting Radiohead in 5 years, if ever.

This comment is just plain bonkers. Negative Nancy, Jesus. You named three bands out of 150+. Sell that ticket, fast.

It’s not bonkers when I also have tickets to Sasquatch, and the only thing that would get me to pick ACL over that would be quality headliners, which is where ACL blew it. Sasquatch gets much better “mid-majors,” while the other festivals splurge more on headliners. There is a reason CoS picked Sasquatch this year as its feature festival. For a 10th year celebration, I just really don’t understand why ACL would jump for lamestream headliners that every other huge festival also got this year. MMJ even did Sasquatch a year ago, that’s how dated these picks are.

MMJ is the kind of band who can only headline a festival if the festival compliments them. ACL does that. Anyhow, there’s been too many festivals this year and at this point, I’m sick of seeing Kanye and Arcade Fire’s names everywhere so consider me indifferent toward the excitement. Things aren’t the same anymore in that regard thanks to other festivals watering down each other.

With more surprises to come, for me, this is incredible. SXSW has been a good indicator of what to expect, here again, same case. People criticize Kanye, but he is an amazing perfomer. His SXSW show was incredible, the whole GOOD family + Jay-z for free, you can’t really beat that. Probably won’t get all of Yeezy’s friends at ACL, but i don’t doubt he will give another emotional, hit-filled performance, i would not miss this one, unless of course, Kanye was at the same time as Jim James and his mates. Oh, and if you don’t think MMJ deserves a headlining spot, i think you may be crazy. ACL 2011 is looking like it’s going to put up a big fight for COS’s festival of the year! As an Austinite, i’m so happy with this lineup!

If I hadn’t seen Kanye and Arcade Fire at Coachella I would be booking travel plans to AustinIt’s really weird that Kanye is playing ACL instead of Lolla this year
