Stream: Kate Bush’s Directors Cut

By Alex Young on May 12th, 2011 in News, Stream

When Kate Bush last released an album — 2005′s Aerial — there was no such thing as an online stream. There was also no such thing as auto-tune. Yet as someone who is often considered one of music’s all-time greatest innovators, the 52-year-old singer-songwriter has had no trouble adapting to the current day and age. Her new album’s lead single, “Deeper Understanding”, would make T-Pain proud, and NPR is currently streaming the rest of Director’s Cut in its entirety.

As previously reported, the 11-track effort sees Bush revamping songs from two of her previous solo albums, 1989′s The Sensual World and 1993′s The Red Shoes, while “keeping the best musical performances of each song.” Something tells me this will be a trend for others going forward.

Director’s Cut officially hit stores May 16th via EMI and you can pre-order the album via Amazon.com.
