Thanks to the
writings of a Chilean newspaper,
Rage Against the Machine fans got their hopes up that the band would release their first LP of new material since 1999′s
The Battle of Los Angeles sometime soon. But as many might have predicted, that’s not going to happen. In an (English) interview with the
Pulse of Radio, guitarist
Tom Morello set the record straight, saying, “Right now there are no [plans to record]… You know, the band is not writing songs, the band is not in the studio.” However, the foursome, who are scheduled to play a
giant comeback show with Muse and Rise Against in LA on July 30th, “intend to do more Rage Against The Machine stuff in the future.” However, pending any additional rumors via Moroccan gossip rags, we’ll just have to wait for more details.
