Lil Wayne is nothing if consistent. With the beat for “(John) If I Die Today”, the latest track to surface from his upcoming album Tha Carter IV, described as being “torn right from the soundtrack of a creepy ’50s monster movie”, the video needed equally disturbing imagery. It’s not the freak-fest one might hope for, but with tons of performance shots done as if Ed Wood was unearthed to direct a low-budget rap video with only a smoke machine and a used tire warehouse to utilize, it’s unsettling for a whole plethora of other reasons. Also, why is Rick Ross in a wheelchair for only part of this?
Check out the video above (via Miss Info). Tha Carter IV is scheduled to hit stores in June 21st (just in time for the end of school.)
