Update: According to a member of The Weeknd’s XO crew, the video is unofficial.

While our own review of The Weeknd‘s House of Balloons gave the effort a glowing review, another review of 20-year-old Abel Tesfaye’s R&B project called one track “so unsafe it should come with a child-proof cap, so dirty that you’ll feel guilty the next time you see your wife.” The rest of the LP’s nine tracks radiate the same kind of dark, sexual energy.

As it turns out, Tesfaye is also able to translate that vibe into visuals, as was done for the clip for “What You Need”. The video, available for viewing above via FreeOnSmash, is a gritty black and white affair that oozes sex appeal so intensely it’ll make those videos your Uncle Rick used to rent look like Disney films. Now wipe that sweat off your brow and get watchin’.
