The first audio-visual nugget from Leisure Seizure came in the form of “A Chore”, which was an extremely entertaining, gender-bending exercise in lip-synching, but Vek lets the pretty models do pretty model things in the second video from the album (which boasts a stateside drop date of September 13th). Disco Naïveté points us to the clip for “World of Doubt”, and it basically features two women letting the wind blow their hair around while a cartoon that looks like the man in the moon gawks on. The video isn’t nearly as captivating as “A Chore”, but the tune itself definitely makes the new LP sound that much more promising, as Vek seamlessly blends rollicking guitar lines with a simplistic drum part, subtle bass blasts, and bells. Yes, bells.
It’s all streaming for your viewing pleasure below, and interested parties can preorder the album at Amazon.com or from Vek’s official website. Vek, for his part, has already somewhat apologized for taking so long to release the album. He told NME that he had no choice but to take over half a decade to complete his sophomore LP, still adding that, “I don’t know if I would have done differently.”
