If you’re not up in your DIY punk collectives, Bomb the Music Industry! is a Long Island-based band led by Jeff Rosenstock (who, along with other members, was formerly apart of The Arrogant Sons of Bitches). Formed in 2004, the group has released a dozen or so albums, EPs, and splits since 2005′s Album Minus Band. Now, the outfit is readying their newest album, Vacation, which is set to hit stores July 26th.

While the record will be released on the band’s pay-what-you-can online-only label Quote Unquote Records, it’s also the first to be released on the band’s new label, Really Records (in cooperation with Ernest Jenning Record Co.) For the new album, the band are moving away from the dark, introspective material of the past. Rosenstock wrote the new material while on a free vacation in Belize (how convenient), leading to an album chalk full of songs about “trying to build a home” and influenced by Superchunk and My Aim Is True-era Elvis Costello.

Below, you can stream “Vocal Coach”, which is a shining example of that aforementioned fusion and a cut that bubbles over with a frantic punk energy despite its geeky pop sensibilities. Along with the track, make sure to peep the tracklist and the band’s upcoming tour schedule.
