Check Out: Kasabian – “Switchblade Smile”

By Alex Young on June 7th, 2011 in New Music, News

Though massively successful in their native UK, Kasabian is one of those bands who has never had much luck stateside. But for their fourth LP, Velociraptor, due this fall via RCA/Columbia Records, the alt-rock outfit tapped a producer who knows a thing or two about making a UK band sound good for American ears — Dan the Automator. The first taste of the LP comes in the form of “Switchblade Smile”, which is available to stream below. Channeling every single bleep and bloop your standard Super Nintendo could muster, Kasabian and Dan the Automator have crafted an eery and ambient track of dark, sinister rock goodness. 1-UP!

Kasabian will support the forthcoming release with a stint on the European festival circuit. Click here to peep their complete schedule.
