It’s hard to believe, but Nirvana‘s iconic second album,  Nevermind, turns 20 years old on September 24th, 2011. And as these things usually go, the band’s label, Universal, is planning to mark the occasion with a 4-CD/1-DVD reissue. According to SPIN.com, the set will include rarities, b-sides, and unreleased recordings, as well as “unspecified BBC radio appearances and an unreleased concert in its entirety on DVD.” The release is scheduled for September 19th in the UK and September 20th in the U.S.

SPIN also reports that Universal is planning to further celebrate the album’s anniversary with ‘various events and releases’ throughout the year, though details are still forthcoming.
