Prince Rama announces new album: Trust Now

By Devon Antonetti on June 16th, 2011 in News

The psychedelic sisters of Prince Rama will release their fifth album Trust Now on October 4th. The Brooklyn-based band, also known as Prince Rama Of Ayodhya, has gained a following for their mix of ritualistic live shows and avant-garde folk drones, which is how they ended up on Animal Collective’s record label, Paw Tracks.

Sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson co-founded the band in 2007 with friend Michael Collins on a Hare Krishna commune in Florida. Collins has since taken a hiatus, leaving the Larson sisters to experiment with the new age sounds and performance art deliveries that would become Trust Now. The album was recorded in a church with producer Scott Colburn (Arcade Fire, Animal Collective).

Trust Now Tracklist:
01. Golden Silence
02. Incarnation
03. Portaling
04. Rest In Peace
05. Summer of Love
06. Trust
