I don’t think any of my fellow commentors actually put someearphones on and actually listen to the tune:
#1: Klinghoffer’s guitar is quite original on this track. I would go as far to say “psychadelic George Harrison”
#2: Yes the harmonies are missing on the track. But don’t you think Keidis (the narcassist that he is) would feature his vocals more now with John gone. Just makes sense to me, albeit selfish.
#3: the percussion is bang on, I dare you to argue that point.
#4: Not every Chili Peppers song can have Flea bleeding his fingers out thumping on a bass solo. Yes it’s a relaxed walk. Give the guy a break will yea.
All in all good filler song. Sometimes you need those. I challange you to go back to “21st century” and not have that shit suck in your head all day.

Not the best we have heard from the Red Hot unfortunately…anyway a single can hardly give a precise idea of how the album will be  so we just have to wait.Feel free to pop by my site to read my review: http://www.dwaveonline.com/2011/07/the-adventures-of-rain-dance-maggie-red-hot-chili-peppers-2/?lang=enFor sure, I miss John Frusciante :-( See you soon! :-)

Seems like it’ll be worth picking this up when it comes out. Gotta be honest though- there’s sort of a predictable way the bass and drums have plopped and bopped along in a poppy way on the last couple of chili peppers albums that wears a person out after awhile. (especially if you listen to all of Stadium Arcadium in one sitting..) Was hoping this one might be a bit different, As far as the guitar playing- I’m not seeing much of a difference between John & Josh. They both seem like minimalists at this point. The lead guitar over the chorus isn’t really a John thing & the guitar work seems a bit more ‘…trippy.’ But otherwise.. I’m not seeing the difference at this point. It just sounds like John is on a George Harrison kick.

Boy- Does Josh look young. LOL.

    Skull Krusha,

“The only good thing is the guitar work”

Reminds me of Fortune Faded for some reason.

I don’t think I’ll be able to judge this song without a few more listens, definitely different though.

It’s a good song to listen when is raining…

As with everything the RHCPs have done, the only good thing is the guitar work, if if it sounds like a mediocre Smith-Westerns tune.

I’ve been on this page for almost an hour now repeatedly hitting play.  This is far more satisfying than Blink-182′s delivery I have to say.  I also find it interesting these big rock names land new singles just as Spotify launces stateside.  What’s next?  Look out children, there’s a new No Doubt song lurking around the corner.
