Glastonbury’s Michael Eavis: Music festivals “on the way out”

“It’s on the way out. We’ve probably got another three or four years… Partly it’s economics, but there is a feeling that that people have seen it all before.”

Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis discusses the state of the ‘music festival’ with The Times (via The Daily Mail). To be fair, Eavis used only UK-based festivals as examples of those struggling, and U.S. festivals are to be selling out as fast as ever, but it might be something to think about.
