Gabba Gabba Konnichiwa. In between songs about brown mushrooms, Barbie, and banana chips, Japanese girl group Shonen Knife get in touch with their inner Ramones on the regular. The Ramones are so vital to these spitfires that they even have plans to drop an ultra-hip Ramones tribute album entitled Osaka Ramones: Tribute to the Ramones, which also coincides with the band’s 30th anniversary. This October, the girls take their homage on the road to North America, where they will be supported by garage rock openers Shannon and The Clams of Oakland, CA. The tribute album drops July 19th, and there’s an entire list of tour dates to consume below.
