skrilex Skrillex plans massive North American tour

As a guitarist and lead-singer, Sonny Moore found modest success with From First to Last, but the LA-transplant has quickly reached new heights under his electro/dubstep moniker Skrillex. Moore has already stunned packed dance-floors nationwide opening for deadmau5, in addition to a rigorous summer festival schedule, and now the producer has plans to keep the party rolling straight through December with a recently announced 51-city fall tour.

Dubbed The Mothership Tour, the shows begin September 22nd, hitting venues large and small across U.S. and Canada through December 17th. Moore will be joined on the road by up-and-comers Two Fresh and Foreign Beggars. Check out the video “Rock n Roll (Will Take You to the Mountain)”, which documents frenzied Skrillex performances, then peep the entire list of upcoming tour dates below.

SKRILLEX? MORE LIKE THRILL-LESS!!! AM I RIGHT?

But seriously, are we still pretending like what he does involves talent?

that being said it doesnt change the fact that i’d still take his job if i had the chance he doesnt have to go to dub step concerts.

I saw srecrielerx once and he was the lead singer of an emo band. dub step is like the worst  music made originally by brits who did so much ketamine it sounded good. Don’t not go to a show just go to something better.

Original British Dubstep was quite different to Skrillex. For one it actually contained elements of Dub music and the drums had a great swing to them. If you listen to Benga’s  ’Night’ you could class it as chill out music, which is far from what this cat produces. Although saying that there’s always people who are soothed by sounds the majority don’t.

I was hoping to see comments slamming Skrillex, but the ‘beats by dre’ comment says it all.

How is this drawl popular? what a joke. How can people listen to this ugly ass girl make zippy zappy noises with her laptop her mommy and daddy got her for graduating high school and actually enjoy it?

Wow, what an ignorant comment. If you werent so close minded, and attended a skrillex show,or better yet after party, you would see that this dude sure knows how to get a venue rockin. Hands down most energy I’ve ever seen a single performer give off. Back to your hole troll!

It’s so new and different that, if yhou are into traditional music, it takes some readjusting. EVERY new genre goes through that. This guy’s a Fuq’n MONSTER!! Everyone is covering his shizz. Listen again, and to other stuff, like Scary Monsters. Brilliant.

The info on the Chicago shows in November isn’t right – the second night (11/12) is with Dada Life, while the first night (11/11) also has Nadastrom: http://www.clubtix.com/skrillex—dada-life–at-congress-tickets-58642 and http://www.clubtix.com/skrillex—two-fresh—nadastrom-tickets-58606
