The Flaming Lips’ whirlwind of a year continues with another round of U.S. tour dates. Not yet tired from the release of a gummy skull and fetus, a Soft Bulletin live album, a Record Store Day box set, and a slew of collaborations, not to mention their festival appearances, Wayne Coyne and co. will spend much of the next four months on the road. The newly announced fall leg kicks off with an appearance at the SoundTown Festival in Somerset, WI and runs all the way until their October 29th appearance at Asheville, NC’s MoogFest.

Also worth noting is the spectacle planned for the Lips’ upcoming pair of NYC area co-headlining shows with Weezer. According to an issued press release, the two bands will share the stage together and trade off songs: “Naturally, these will be very special events and most likely will never happen again. The only thing that can be predicted is to expect the unpredictable.” So, that’s something neat.
