The days of Ryan Adams’ late night blog posts and bedroom recordings ended shortly before the whole Mandy Moore thing. But with a new studio album due later this year, his first since 2008′s Cardinology, ol’ Ry Ry has been dropping one surprise after another, the latest being a webcam recording of him covering Vampire Weeekend’s “Mansard Roof”. Explains Adams: “I do it no justice but I love it. I sung it imagining being on a beach made of diamonds with a darkened night sky full of twinkling sand.” And we now all have a new fantasy.
