The Kooks‘ journey toward their first new album in three years, Junk of the Heart, inches closer and closer to completion with the album’s September 13th release. While the LP’s first offering, “The Saboteur”, was a gem of ’60s psychedelic joy, “Is It Me” is nostalgia-free, instead seeing the four-piece power forward with a track of pure airy pop wonderment.
