Did you know Sirius XM Radio has a channel that plays only grunge rock and ’90s alternative? It’s called Lithium. How fitting, huh? What better place to host a Q&A with the former members of Nirvana, right? Well, that’s exactly what the satellite radio conglomerate plans to do next month. Titled “Town Hall with Nirvana”, the two-hour event will be hosted by Jon Stewart, and feature a special interview with former members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic, in addition to producer Butch Vig. In light of the 20th anniversary of the group’s iconic LP, Nevermind, the three will answer a series of questions from Stewart and a select group of SiriusXM listeners at the station’s studios in New York City.
So, if you’re not fatigued by all the Nirvana-related hoopla coming out of the woodwork these days, then by all means tune in for this landmark event on Saturday, September 24th at 8:00 p.m. ET, only on the Lithium Station (Channel 34). And if you’re really looking to celebrate, keep the channel on starting September 23rd, as Lithium will turn into Nevermind Radio, featuring music by Nirvana (duh), including B-sides, rarities, and live performances. This will continue until Wednesday, September 28th at 12:00 a.m. ET.
Come one, come all. Come as you are.
