Those with an eye on our features section have seen the rundown of Kanye West’s collaborative history with Jay-Z. Turns out there’s another man Yeezy has a fondness for working with; Seth MacFarlane, creator of Family Guy and The Cleveland Show. Having already made two appearances on The Cleveland Show as rapper Kenny West, Mr. West will be playing himself when his animated visage graces the screen again in the show’s third season.

This time around, he’ll be bringing along a group of friends to form a “rap Illuminati” (via Fake Shore Drive). A handful of hip-hop heavyweights will join West as part of a “secret group that controls pop culture”, including will.i.am, Nicki Minaj, Bruno Mars, and The Roots drummer ?uestlove. Jay-Z probably opted out to avoid adding fuel to some of those flames.

According to show produced Rich Appel, “Cleveland inadvertently breaks into [the Illuminati] and then it’s how he will either bring them down or they’ll bring him down.” What’s more, he adds, “We have a couple of original songs with Kanye and will and Bruno – I mean, all of them. It was great.”
