Lollapalooza reveals 2011 webcast schedule

on August 02, 2011, 5:35pm

This weekend, 100,000 of you will descend on Chicago’s Grant Park to celebrate 20 years of Lollapalooza. For those who didn’t score a ticket — you can still win one at our pre-party, btw! — or who prefer the comfort of a futon to 48,000 sweaty bros and heat, the festival is also webcasting many of this year’s performances on YouTube. Among the sets up for grabs: Foo Fighters, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Death From Above 1979, Explosions in the Sky, Big Audio Dynamite, The Mountain Goats, The Cars, and Black Lips. Check out complete schedule below, then click this link when it’s time.

And while we have your attention, now’s a good time to remind you of our official Lollapalooza pre-party featuring Kids These Days. Not only are we giving away a pair of passes to Lolla 2011, but we’ll also be slinging a few Windows Phones 7’s.

And, of course, stay tuned for our complete coverage from this year’s Lollapalooza.

Yeah, I’m quite aware.
But as someone who, like last year, had no intention of attending Lollapalooza, and just watching the webcast, then my statement stands.

If the webcast offers a snapshot of this years line-up, then 2010 blow 2011 clear out of the water.

I was really really hoping Muse would be one of those bands.  Ah well
