After collaborating with John Stanier (aka the drummer of Battles), Jens-Uwe Beyer (aka Popnoname), and a host of artists to form Cologne Tape, Axel Willner, better known as The Field, is returning with the first album from that project since 2009′s Yesterday & Today. Entitled Looping State of Mind, the seven-track effort will feature acoustic instruments like the double bass and piano combined with Willner’s usual blippy output.

Check out the tracklist and Willner’s European tour dates below (via Pitchfork). A North American leg is scheduled for October, with dates to be announced shortly.

Looping State of Mind will hit stores October 25th via Kompakt.
