As he’s been one to do lately, Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy unfurled yet another new track from the band’s upcoming eighth album The Whole Love all on his own. This time, during a break in a photo shoot for St. Louis Magazine, Tweedy took to the empty seats of St. Louis’ Peabody Opera House to strum through “Dawned on Me” (via Pitchfork). With hardly a soul inside the theater’s grand halls, the song sounds decidedly powerful and yet still tiny and intimate.
Check out the video of Tweedy’s performance, along with the album tracklist, below. The Whole Love is in stores on September 27th via the band’s own dBpm label.
