The boys of My Morning Jacket know a thing or two about playing live. Whether it’s on Conan, Fallon, VH1 Storytellers, or the Internet, Jim James and company can put on a show that pushes boundaries and moves the audience. But there ain’t no party like a MMJ show on magic demon booze, which the band ingests for the video for “Holdin On To Black Metal”. After knocking back that green stuff, MMJ proceeds to tear through the most hallucinatory, fear-inducing gig ever, one that easily transcends space, time, and possibly state fire codes. In the end, though, even all that pales in comparison to the faces of Mr. James.
