Check Out: Daft Punk – “Drive”

By Alex Young on September 19th, 2011 in Check Out, News

Hey guys, it’s new Daft Punk music! Well, in the sense that you’ve never heard it before. As previously reported, Soma Records is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a compilation record that includes a previously unreleased Daft Punk demo called “Drive”. The song, which dates back to 1994, was discovered while the label (who released the duo’s first LP) was digging through boxes of old DATs, photos, and various memorabilia.

“Drive” was just debuted on Annie Mac’s BBC 1 radio program and you can hear the rip below. Update: You can now listen to the full seven-minute version of “Drive” below.

Soma Records: 20 Years is out now.
