Check Out: The Flaming Lips – “I Found A Star On The Ground” (aka the six-hour song)

It’s here! The Flaming Lips’ six-hour song, “I Found A Star On The Ground”, has hit the web and you can stream it in full below (via P4k). As previously reported, the track features the names of individuals who donated $100 to the Oklahoma Humane Society and the Academy of Contemporary of Music. Sean Lennon also appears in the song, reading the names of donors.

According to Flaming Lips fan site Psych Explorations of the Future Hearth, “I Found A Star On The Ground” and two additional, much shorter songs, “Butterfly, How Long Does It Take to Die” and “Evil Minds”, are being sold alongside a limited-edition Strobo Trip Light Phase Illusion Toy (pictured above.) Lips frontman Wayne Coyne first sold the light toy at Portland’s Jackpot Records on Tuesday night. We have streams for ”Butterfly, How Long Does It Take to Die” and “Evil Minds” below.
