The 31st annual CMJ Music Marathon takes over 75 New York City venues between October 18th and 22nd. Acts like Wild Flag, Portugal. the Man, CSS, and Neon Indian led the initial lineup announcement, and now the festival has confirmed the presence of Gang Gang Dance, Zomby, J Mascis, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Kendrick Lamar, Shonen Knife, and Free Energy.

Other new additions include Joker, Cloud Nothings, Casiokids, Oberhofer, Boy & Bear, Skeletonwitch, Pujol, Smif-N-Wessun, T. Mills, Painted Palms, Flatliners, Robbers on High Street, Bag Raiders, Young Buffalo, Gary Clark, Jr. and 1, 2, 3. CMJ 2011 badges are now available for purchase on the festival’s website. Along with the ‘Full’ and ‘VIP’, this year also offers the ‘CMJ Showpass,’ which allows access to all CMJ Music Marathon showcases and Film Festival screenings.
