On “Hello Sadness”, the title track off Los Campesinos! forthcoming fourth studio album, Gareth Campesino cribs a little from Robert Smith (or Conor Oberst, if you wanna keep things modern), while the band itself channels an early ’80s Manchester sound – specifically New Order circa Power, Corruption, & Lies. Bottom line: It’s very British in a very “randy” way. Who’s to complain? Hardly anyone if tastes off the new LP keep up this sort of fever.
