A reminder: Consequence of Sound is presenting two concerts in the New York City metropolitan area over the next 48 hours. The first, Heart Music Group’s official CMJ showcase, takes place Friday night at Pianos in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Talent includes Wise Blood, Chrome Sparks, North Highlands, and Supreme Cuts, among others, and non-badge holders pay just $5 for access. Set times are as followed:

On Saturday night, we’ll set up shop at Southpaw in Park Slope, Brooklyn for our first annual “October Party.” Kicking off at 8pm with a one-hour open bar, the evening will see eight bands playing across two stages. Leading the way are Miniature Tigers and The Stone Foxes, with Mr. Dream, Is Tropical, Pujol, Arms, Nerves Junior, and Bosco Delrey providing support.
