In case you forgot, Consequence of Sound is presenting Tennis and Miniature Tigers at Los Angeles’ The Satellite on December 7th. It is, in fact, our first-ever West coast event. Want to be there for the inaugural ribbon-cutting and champagne bottle smashing? Good, because we’re giving away three pairs of tickets to the show!

To enter to win, like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (if you haven’t already, that is). Then, in the comments section below, share with us your favorite tennis athlete or film involving tigers. (See what we did there?) We’ll see if your response is better than everyone else’s and let you know if you won early next week. And while you’re writing your various tiger- or tennis-related anecdotes, check out new tracks from the bands below.

Tennis – “Origins”:

Tennis’ Patrick Carney-produced sophomore LP, Young and Old, hits stores February 14th. Stay tuned for a release date on Miniature Tigers’ forthcoming third LP, Mia Pharaoh.

The claymation tiger cameo in “The Darjeeling Limited” is pretty sweet.

My favorite tennis athlete of all time has got to be Mario, as in Mario Tennis. I always win with Mario, and I’m a better tennis player than I ever am in real life!  My favorite movie with tigers is Winnie the Pooh. But Tigger, like the Miniature Tigers, is a whole lot cuter than a real tiger.

My favorite tennis athlete of all time is Björn Borg!

I spent a large part of my teens quoting Steve Odekerk’s “Kung Pow: Enter the Fist”. I especially loved Evil Betty’s ramblings such as when he became entranced by Tiger wallpaper. I can’t find the particular clip on youtube cause it’s pretty random, but here is a taste of the awesomeness of Evil Betty

Sheer khan was a bad ass in the Jungle Book. His name in itself was the sickest part of the movie.
