Coldplay have unveiled plans for their first North American tour in nearly three years. Broken into three separate potions, the leg kicks off out west, beginning in Edmonton on April 17th and ending with a pair of shows in Los Angeles on May 1st and 2nd. The band will then return to the states in late June for shows across Texas and along the East coast. Finally, beginning July 23rd in Toronto, Coldplay will kick off a six-date run which also sees them hitting Boston, E. Rutherford, NJ, and Chicago before wrapping up in St. Paul, MN on August 11th.

Tickets for many dates will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, December 17th. Visit the band’s website for specific on-sale dates and times.

Along with the North American tour, Coldplay have a few remaining dates in the UK and Europe before the close of 2011, along with a massive UK stadium tour scheduled for early June. You can find the band’s entire itinerary below.
