Following a recap of skiing techniques – seriously Dave, you’ve never been to Vail? – Donald Glover, aka Childish Gambino, gunned through a performance of Camp favorite “Heartbeat” last night on The Late Show with David Letterman. The electro thumper started casual yet turned into an urgent rendition halfway through. Admittedly, it’s hard to grasp any edge when Glover’s wearing a cribbed Santa sweater, but hey, lyrics are lyrics, right? He’s on fire here, and if you recently snatched tickets to his Camp Gambino shindig, then you’re in for a fiery night – at least if this is any indication.
