If you happened to catch a live set from Kentucky rockers Cage the Elephant since their 2008 debut, you may have heard an unfamiliar song, possibly even acoustically. “What’s this?” you may have wondered. “That’s not on either of their albums!” Well, that’s because “Dr. Dr. Dr.” (or “Doctor, Doctor, Doctor, Help Me, Help Me, Help Me”) never really had a name, nor a chance in the studio. That is to say, until now. The previously unreleased track appeared on YouTube just before 2012 set in. You can take a listen to the cut, full of familiar CTE fervor, below.
Does this herald work on a new album, or perhaps it’s just getting a live favorite into the can? We’ll keep our ears open for more, so stay tuned. In the meantime, the band’s live CD/DVD, Live From The Vic in Chicago, is out now.
